24 December 2011 I received an email that the management has shuffled around again at the Turtle Bay Seafood & Grill in Foster City, and as a result, the live jazz on Wednesday and Friday evenings, which was dropped after February, will be back in the new year.

12 November 2011 I played a set with my friends' band Blue Tuesday at McGovern's Bar in downtown San Mateo.

15 October 2011 SNUG played at Moon's Family Sports Pub in downtown San Mateo.

24 September 2011 SNUG played a brunchtime gig at the Main Street Coffee Roasting Company in Redwood City.

4 September 2011 3/5ths of SNUG played at a private event in the Hong Kong Flower Lounge in Millbrae.

19 August 2011 I played a jazz gig with Doug Miller (alto sax), John Higham (bass), and Jack Kerns (drums) at the Palo Alto Elk's Lodge.

9 July 2011 SNUG played a brief one-hour set at the American Cancer Society Relay for Life on the San Mateo High School football field on Saturday, July 9th.

5 June 2011 I was honored to be part of an afternoon of music & fellowship in benefit of the family of guitarist Chris Cobb, who lost their younger son Clay earlier this year. It was held at McGovern's Bar in San Mateo and the music lasted from before 1pm until after 9pm. Some of the featured performers were Stan Erhart, Dave Workman, the Daniel Castro Band with Terry Hiatt, the Chris Cobb Band, and many others. I played three numbers (one with vocals) with the able assistance of Jeff Kamil on guitar, Pat Tinling on bass, and Jackie Enx on drums, with Gino "Bambino" Emmerich guesting with us on one tune.

14 May 2011 Was it SNUG? Was it The GNUS? Whatever it was, it played at the Franklin Elementary School Carnival in Burlingame on Saturday, May 14th.

In December the Mojo Lounge in Fremont cancelled its long-standing Tuesday night blues jams.
Just last week The Old Princeton Landing over on the coast just north of Half Moon Bay cancelled Stan Erharts's Sunday Night blues jam, just short of it hitting the 10-year anniversary.
